What is Event Photography?

Event photography is the practice of photographing your guests and proceedings as they unfold at your event or occasion.

It can be anything from a conference to an award ceremony, where you’d like to photograph your speakers and audience. You can even capture images of activities during team-building days or incentive business trips. Some interesting activities we’ve recorded range from falconry and horse riding to archery and Irish dancing. 

If you’re an event organiser, you’ll need professional images to show potential clients what you can offer them. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words and images of the food, décor, and people having fun will help greatly in securing new business for you.

Conferences

Photographing a conference is not just about getting images of the speakers. You also want shots of your audience engaged in the talks. Being creative with angles and composition is very important so that the images don’t all look the same.

Having a variety of depth shots is crucial, too. You need some wide images capturing the scene, the room and the atmosphere, as well as detail shots of table arrangements and the facial expressions of your attendees.

Drinks receptions

Drinks receptions, cocktail parties, social gatherings – whatever name you use to describe them – are about people socialising while enjoying a few drinks and some finger food. 

We love photographing these events as you can get some very natural images of people having fun and looking exactly as they are, no awkward smiles or nervous stances.

Group photographs

If you look carefully at a photographer when you ask if they can take large, group photographs you can usually see a look of panic set in. 

Not us. We love them! Group photographs are just a simple combination of organisation and people skills. So, we say, the more the merrier!

Entertainment

Good entertainment not only amuses your guests but it also showcases what Ireland can offer to our foreign visitors. If your client has fun and is impressed with your hospitality they’ll be more likely to share their experience on social media and recommend you to their friends.

Most frequent questions and answers

Hourly rate with Greater Dublin area is €200+VAT for the first . Additional hour is €100+VAT. (Between 9 and 6pm)

Full days (8h coverage) is €800+VAT and evening rates(from 6pm to 10pm) is €600+VAT.

Lunch break and dinner break must be provided.

Images are delivered by download link with Wetransfer. Depending on what is agreed, print resolution or web only resolution are provided.

Licencing is for the client only, no images should be given/sold to a third party without written authorisation from Eric Molimard Photography.

Yes, we travel nationwide and abroad. Travel with the Greater Dublin area is included in the rates above. For other location, travel will be itemised in the quotation.

If we have never done business together we would need a deposit and payment before images are released. Alternatively, we can charge the hotel where the event is held and the hotel will add our fee to your final bill.
